On behalf of the Iowa Academy's new Public Policy Team, we would like to introduce you to Tracey Sauke, the incoming State Policy Representative. In this role, one of Tracey's key responsibilities is coordinating the connection of Iowa dietitians to their respective Legislators, and building out Iowa's grassroots advocacy strategy. Your participation and help is needed now more than ever! We already know that dietitian licensure will be an issue in the 2021 Iowa Legislative Session. Licensure ensures that Iowa residents will receive safe and ethical nutrition therapy from qualified professionals that possess the appropriate knowledge, skill, and competency.
