Joshua Ortman has been hired as the next Executive Director of the Iowa Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Joshua has worked with the Iowa Academy for the past 8 years as our webmaster.
Over the years Joshua has helped lead numerous initiatives with the Iowa Academy including the media spokesperson program, marketing efforts through social media and newsletters to members, highlighting Iowa dietitians and annual award winners through videos and photos, assisting with the annual meeting and transition meeting of the Board and Council, among many other things!
Joshua’s historical knowledge of and dedication to the Iowa Academy will be valuable as we continue to move our organization forward in best serving our members.

The Iowa Academy thanks Ruth Litchfield for her service to the organization and profession the past few years as Executive Director. Joshua will continue training with Ruth through January 31st as they transition the position.
