National Diabetes Month

Registered Dietitian, Natalie Blum, will promote National Diabetes Month by highlighting the importance of choosing fiber-ful carbohydrates to promote healthy blood sugars.

1. Proper nutrition plays a key role in successfully managing diabetes. Carbohydrates have a direct impact on blood sugar levels.

2. Choose carbohydrates that are good sources of fiber. Look for foods that contain at least 3g per serving. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds are all good sources of fiber.

3. Pumpkin is a great source of fiber and trendy this time of year. Try this yummy pumpkin dip!
