The Guilt-Free RD and host of Sound Bites podcast Melissa Joy Dobbins, MS, RDN, CDCES will provide insight into communication strategies and techniques as applicable to the RDN field. Facilitate application of this session to today’s world.

Nutrition Consulting’s Kristin Klinefelter, MS, RDN, LDN offers the science behind self-regulation, and techniques to regulate your nervous system in

stressful situations. Participants will understand the Ethical Decision Making Model and apply to real-life situations.

St. Croix Hospice’s Megan DuBay breaks down Hospice: what it is, qualifying criteria, services, assessment, and the RD role.

Iowa Small Business Development Center’s Jenica Johnson pairs up with local business owners Jessica Schroeder, RDN, LD and Jocelyn Evans, RD, LD, CSG to give insight into business/entrepreneurship basics; and hear about personal journeys within business ownership.

Tim Gartin of Hastings and Gartin Law; Kyle Woiwood, CPA at Uhy Advisors; Andrew Ricklefs of Knapp Tedesco Insurance; and Katelyn Scheuermann, MPP-D, RDN, LD and Cat Rudolph, MS, RD give an overview into the legalities involved with business ownership and licensure.
