Studies show Americans are confused by food date labels; that means significant amounts of edible food ends up in landfills. Food waste is one of the most pressing challenges of our time and one that is solvable.
Tell Congress to support the bipartisan Food Date Labeling Act (H.R. 3981 / S. 2337). This bill would reduce food waste by standardizing date labels on food products and eliminate consumer confusion about food date labeling.
This bill is a necessary step in addressing waste throughout the entire food supply. I urge every member to take action today.
