  • 10:15 Welcome Introductions- Mary Steffensmeier and Kristie Jacobsen-NE District

  • 10:30 to 11:30 Alison St. Germain, MS RD, LD Learn how to use weight inclusive, trauma informed care to guide patients into attaining sustainable well-being. Explore how weight bias lends to poor health outcomes contributes to health inequities and intersects with racism and sexism. What is your role as a healthcare professional in providing care that is inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible?

  • 11:30 to 12:30 Mary Steffensmeier, MA, RD, LD, CDE Increase understanding of Alcohol Metabolism, alcohol consumption trends, alcohol’s influence on weight, and blood glucose

  • 12:30 to 1:30 Lunch and learn about community supported agriculture about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and organic produce with Iowa CSA farmer Rob Faux.

  • 1:30 to 2:30 Debra Kyler, MS, RD, LD Grow your knowledge about national and global cancer prevention guidelines and strengthen skills educating consumers on organic produce.

  • 2:30 Optional participation in seed exchange. Bring a packet of seeds to share and assist in planning a regional fall harvest event to share outcomes.
