RECIPE CONTEST



ENTRANTS:

  • Must be a resident of Iowa

  • Must be a member of the Iowa Academy of Nutrition Dietetics including active, retired or student members.

  • The following are not eligible to participate: American Egg Board, Iowa Egg Council officers, staff and their family members. 


RECIPES:

  • Recipes must be original. 

  • Recipes should be for Healthy Family Meals which could be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Recipes should be for main dishes which can include and are not limited to casseroles, pasta, sandwiches, soups, or salads.

  • All recipes must contain at least four eggs (in the form of whole eggs, yolks or whites), and no more than 12 ingredients total (not counting salt and pepper). The use of lean meats and dairy products, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats is encouraged.

  • All eligible recipes will be judged on Taste (40%), Appearance/Presentation (20%), Nutritional Profile (30%) and Ease of Preparation (10%) 


CONTEST:

  • Contest entry period begins November 12, 2019

  • Contest entry deadline is February 1, 2020

  • Entrants may submit up to two recipes

  • All entries become the property of Iowa Egg Council and will not be returned. Entry constitutes permission to edit, modify, adapt, publish and otherwise use the recipe in any way without further compensation.

  • By entering the contest, entrant agrees to abide by the final decisions of the judges of the contest or the contest committee on any matter concerning the interpretation of the contest rules. 

  • Taxes on prize (s) or prize money are the responsibility of the winners.

  • The top 3 winners will be notified on, or before March 1, 2020.

  • Recipes can be submitted to katie@iowaegg.org  using the contest entry form or mailed to: Iowa Egg Council, 8515 Douglas Avenue, Urbandale, Iowa 50322
