Perform nutritional analysis of meals utilizing FoodWorks software Compose monthly newsletter articles on a nutrition-related topic for clients Assist with recipe and ingredient development and modification Collaborate with chefs to optimize the nutritious components of our meals Provide Customer Care team with resources to answer questions from clients including, but not limited to nutritional and ingredient and allergen info on all meals, sides and menus, ingredient and allergen info on all meals, sides and menu and answers to frequently asked questions about our meals and R&D processes Review client care plans as required by specific agencies Work with Customer Care team and contact clients for menu change requests Contact clients, caregivers or case managers as needed for nutrition related questions or concerns regarding menus, meals and ingredients. Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations


  • Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science or Dietetics Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration Licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of Iowa

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially in terms of recipe and meal development

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word for creation of spreadsheets to report nutritionals and various other resources for clients, Mom’s Meals staff and others Ability to prioritize tasks to complete all in a timely manner

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops computers and smartphones

  • Work independently and has a strong sense of responsibility carrying out the required job duties with a minimum amount of daily supervision

  • Ability to make decisions based on professional judgement as they pertain to the appropriateness of meals as they meet the parameters of our menu guidelines Previous work experience in Food Manufacturing or Healthcare preferred
