Assist the Dietary Manager in planning, directing and coordinating nutrition services approximately one day a week. Dietitian will assess patients nutritional status and screens for potential nutrition risk; instructions patients/family in nutrition principles and prescribes diets, menus and food selection and preparation; monitors the overall nutritional care of patients; makes appropriate recommendations for nutritional intervention while providing medical nutrition therapy.
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related field. One or more years of clinical practice experience preferred. Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and possess current state license of certification as a Registered Dietitian. Must maintain continuing education requirements set by state licensure regulations and the commission on Dietetic Registration.
