My Goals and Vision for IDA:

As the dietetics professional organization continues to strive to promote and position the dietitian as the nutrition expert, I believe we need a strong voice at the state level to help in this process. I believe this can be accomplished if we have a strong membership at the state level. My goal would be to actively recruit dietetics professionals who are not members and encourage them to participate and be heard. I would strive to visit the area dietetics groups to hear their concerns and take the information back to the state and national level. Making a strong state association can only enhance the strength of the national association in promoting and positioning the dietitian as the nutrition expert.
