My Goals and Vision for IDA:

I come to IDA with fresh, new ideas-- hot off the streets of New York!  I have traveled across the Northeast attending Annual Dietetic Conference meetings including: Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey.  With each conference that I attended I acquired new ideas, met new keynote speakers, made innovative contacts and returned home with inspiration for coordinating a unique annual meeting.  I have worked with many program committee planning members in these states as well as ADA’s FNCE and various New York Nutrition Associations to help them develop a program that suits their needs.  So my objective in this position is to acquire information and learning needs from IDA members to help me provide an annual meeting that is valuable to members and provides continuing education that will support IDA members as the food and nutrition leaders.  In order to retain and increase active members it is important to provide valuable learning and networking activities.   In order to be a thriving organization, it is vital to set member engagement and retention as priorities.  With a strong membership as our foundation, IDA can achieve almost anything!  I will work diligently with other council and board members to sustain a cohesive organization that supports IDA’s mission, vision, and values.
