Medallion Award

Number of possible awards: 2

Purpose: To recognize member of IDA who has demonstrated leadership above and beyond job requirements in either the association or employment and who has made outstanding contributions to the dietetic profession.

Selection criteria established by IDA:

  • Active membership in ADA for at least the previous 10 years
  • Active in national, state, or district association as demonstrated through leadership and/or inspiration
  • Not previously selected for this award
  • Demonstrated leadership beyond expectations of the position and/or employment requirements
  • Outstanding role model or mentor to younger professionals
  • Outstanding contributions to the profession

Nomination procedure:

  • Nominations may be submitted by individual IDA members or district dietetic associations. Self-nominations are also accepted.
